Date: 2008-11-27 01:14 am (UTC)It's funny how several of these names were ruined for me in part BECAUSE of this book: St. John (especially the pronunciation! Ew), Bertha, Mason, Blanche.
I like Diana, Mary, Louisa, Amy, Hannah, Grace, Eliza ... and Edward Fairfax Rochester, each of those names individually, but as a combination as well. :D

Date: 2008-11-27 03:33 am (UTC)I love Jane for a middle name now, though I hated it growing up. I also like Adele and Georgiana, though I liked Georgiana after seeing Pride and Prejudice.
slightly OT: if you see a movie version of Jane Eyre, watch the 4-hour Masterpiece Theater version from 2006. Best one available, in my opinion, and I've seen 4 versions.

Date: 2008-11-28 02:30 am (UTC)I can't believe I've never read Jane Eyre before. I can't wait to read it rather than listen to it, although I think I'll wait a little while. I so admire her convictions.
