Georgiana, which is about it. Blanche is almost kind of nice, but I can only picture it on a Southern Belle type woman.

LOVE Jane Eyre!

It's funny how several of these names were ruined for me in part BECAUSE of this book: St. John (especially the pronunciation! Ew), Bertha, Mason, Blanche.

I like Diana, Mary, Louisa, Amy, Hannah, Grace, Eliza ... and Edward Fairfax Rochester, each of those names individually, but as a combination as well. :D

Haha no. Okay, maybe the book didn't ruin that name. Or any of the ones I mentioned, except St. John and Mason, which I didn't hate at the time. In the case of Bertha, it's Anne of Green Gables that really ruined that one for me. I guess it's more that Jane Eyre reinforced my dislike of these names.

Love the book, but I don't think I'd use any of the names in real life. =)
I do like Charlotte, though.

I got one line into this post and had to say I FREAKING LOVE JANE EYRE! I've read it 4 times now in about 2 years.

I love Jane for a middle name now, though I hated it growing up. I also like Adele and Georgiana, though I liked Georgiana after seeing Pride and Prejudice.

slightly OT: if you see a movie version of Jane Eyre, watch the 4-hour Masterpiece Theater version from 2006. Best one available, in my opinion, and I've seen 4 versions.

I didn't read it till I was 28, nor had I read any Jane Austen books (different author, I know). I don't think I would have appreciated Jane Eyre as much if I read it earlier. I also admire her convictions, and so much about that book.

Forgive me, I can't help but gush about this book.

I've read every Jane Austen book now, Sense and Sensibility twice. I get mixed but mostly negative reviews on Wuthering Heights. I've not read it myself, but once long ago caught the end of the movie and it looked as depressing as people say it is. I might read it eventually just to have read it. My next book is going to be North and South, since I just saw the movie.

I like John, Helen, Alice and Diana. I also like Selene, but only spelled like this. Célene seems odd to me...a mixture of Selene and Celine.

I think Jane Eyre is so-so, and I don't particularly like any of the names, except Adèle.
