My SO's new favorite name for a boy:

James Dietrich

Does it work? James is one of our favorite boy's names (along with Felix), and I like Dietrich, but do the names stylistically work together? The last name would be a rather long German name starting with B.

I think they sounds great together. Since both names are relatively short, I think they'd work with a long last name. :)

I really think that it does work, yeah. They sound quite good together.

I seem to be odd out on this, but I'm not sure how I feel about them together. I like both individually quite well, but sometimes I look at the combo and say yes and other times I say...not so much. Hm...I think...yes?

My exact thoughts! I think it would take some time for me personally to get used to the combination, but I think it will work out in the end :)

I like it, and I think it works -- Dietrich is different enough from James that it makes the name more interesting without being too outlandish. Now, if you were thinking of naming him James Moonbeam or something, there might be an issue;)

I think that combination is lovely.
