[EDIT:] The idea of it only came to me today, but I think it'll stay towards the bottom of the list. I couldn't stand to have a kid being called Tabby.

I wouldn't use it. All it makes me think of is: witch, ala the daughter on Bewitched, and then I also think cat, and the nick name Tabby only cements that notion. =/

I love it! It's simple and sweet and old-fashioned and a little off-beat. I wouldn't call a Tabitha Tabby, though; it's nickname-proff in my eyes.

I love it! I never used to like it because, as someone else mentioned, it reminded me of the little girl witch on Bewitched, but it's grown on me recently.

Whereas some said they wouldn't use it because of Samantha's daughter on Bewitched, that is part of the reason why I WOULD use it. It's one of my favorite shows. I grew up watching the reruns and I think Tabitha was so adorable. I'm fond of the name, but I HATE the nickname Tabby. I don't think Tabby ages well. Because of my desire to avoid Tabby, Tabitha may end up relegated to middle name only status. :\
