Thanks. I love Ursula too!! I think most people associate it with The Little Mermaid but I think of the character from D.H. Lawrence's The Rainbow.

I was surprised at what people liked and didn't like. IDK why no one likes Cleveland but I have a friend named Cleveland so I might be biased. =)

I've seen enough of these (and voted for enough of these) to know that most people's lists get mostly negative votes.

I know they're a little old fashioned, but I think those names can be super cute on a little kid, dignified on an adult, and they work well on teens if they have a good nickname (ex: Etta for Harriet, etc.)

Thanks. Stella, Thaddeus, and Lawrence (and Adela) are all family names. A Thaddeus would probably go by Ted. An Agnes would probably go by Aggie.

There's such a balance between something that works for children that doesn't sound to cutesy for adults and that isn't too trendy.

I hadn't thought of that. That one wasn't high on our list anyway but my husband is from Alabama and Brody is a VERY southern name. I like Brantley too but we have a friend whose fiance is named Brantley so I don't know if we'd use it.

I'm still surprised that people don't like Cleveland. I guess I'm the only one who knows a Cleveland. =)

Aaah - I replied to your first comment with a bit of confusion. MOST Of the OTHER names on the list I found ugly (Willa, Olga and Harmon) or teasable (Brody) or just not my style (mostly this). The ones I included in my list I like and would consider using.

I guess they are names I kind of like or don't mind hearing. The ones I love are particularly pleasant to my ear.
