I know a 13 year old girl named Gabrielle. I've known her since she was born and always thought it was spelled this way... until she I saw a school fundraiser form from her, and it is actually spelled Gabbriel.

Gabbriel looks very mispelled to me. And I'd pronounce it as Gabriel, not as Gabrielle.
But having said that, my italian grandmother's name was Gabriella, but she was actually registered as Gabbriella. Not quite a mispelling at the time, some people in Italy did spell it like that. But her family didn't mean to spell it that way, it was the person that filled the papers for them who did it.

I also would say it as "Gabriel"... if it had the additonal 'le' on the end, I'd say it as "Gabrielle", though, like your grandmother's name was.

Mahogany is different. Reminds me of my cousin's middle name which is Morgandy.

ever runs in my father's side of the family. it's my half brother's name, i've never met anyone outside of my family with the name.
