I knew a girl in HS named Dorota -- I think it's some Eastern European version of Dorothy.
It seems like there should be something other than variations of Dorothy to get the nickname Dot, but I'm at work and frazzled right now so nothing comes to mind. But I do want to say I love Dottie -- it reminds me of Pee Wee, my hero.
