i went to college in boston and it is my favorite city on earth though, so i am biased.

I think that I would always think of the band. Just picture them in my head. Personally, I don't think it's a place that lends itself to be a name very well, I don't think it really works.

I went to middle/high school with a Boston. He was a redneck so I never thought the name quite fit him. Seems like someone slick & cool should have this name. Anyway, I could never use it because back home people would "know" that I named my child after him. Plus, city names are not my style. Overall, though, I don't think it's completely tragic.
