Oh, those Fanning girls. The young actresses, just in case nobody gets that. Anyway, Hannah Dakota and Mary Elle. Professionally, at least, they both go by their middle names.

WDYT of their full names? Do you think that Dakota and Elle are nicer names to go by than Hannah and Mary?

Mary Elle is nice, same pronounciation as Meriel and I like that.
I prefer Hannah to Dakota, but neither are really my thing. I agree Hannah Fanning is a mouthful, and maybe doesn't suit her so well.
Overall the common fn-unusual mn balance appeals to me.

Yeah, I think Dakota & Elle are much nicer names than Hannah & Mary. Plus, as some others have pointed out already, Hannah Fanning doesn't sound great!

I have a friend called Marielle...so Mary Elle sort of irks me, too (kind of like people naming their kid Emma Lee).

I agree with the others--I like Hannah better than Dakota, but the flow on that full name is all off. My husband and I really like the name Benjamin--but it wouldn't go with our last name, sadly--Ben Beal.

I like all Mary + (name) combinations, and the weirder (name), the better.
Mary Elle sounds cool, but Elle is a nickname to me.

I prefer Mary to Hannah.

Elle is definitely less famous than Dakota; she mainly does guest spots on television shows. She's been on Law & Order, Criminal Minds, House, all of the CSIs. She's been in a few movies as well, playing a young Dakota more than once.
