My husband's cousin is Demi. It's DEH-mee. I never liked it too much but it's grown on me. Possibly because she's pretty much the cutest thing EVER (15, gorgeous, cheerleader...love her! lol)

I actually prefer it pronounced more like "Deux-MEE", Deux as in how the french pronounce the letter e, or say the number 2. And I like it, and I was actually thinking about as a name choice not that long ago.

Noah I don't like because of the "no" in front of it, when I think of a child named Noah as he grows up and having to say "No Noah, you can't have that", it bothers me. Plus, I think of Noah's Ark. I also think it's gaining in popularity, and I'm not keen on popular names.

I don't like Noah. Mainly because it's crazy popular here and I'd never be able to use it as I have a boy in my class called Noah who is a complete nutter so he's tainted the name for me now :)

Demi makes me think of Demi Moore, of goddess Demetra that she was named after and of the french word for "half".

I've always pronounced it DEH-mee, and was quite disgusted upon learning that she pronounces it Deh-MEE.

I think that it's actually pronounced like Deh-MEE, but I always pronounce it DEH-mee. Like, Demi-god. I like Noah. It's on my list. It's a little plain, but it's always classic. Noa for girls is really nice too.
