Date: 2008-11-13 03:29 pm (UTC)I like Geneva a lot too, but can't use it since it's the name of a LJ friend's daughter LOL. And I like Ava, but it's way too trendy for me to use.

Date: 2008-11-13 03:48 pm (UTC)I love Eva & Ava, but would choose Eva as it's not as popular; Ava is getting boring.

Miranda
I love the name Georgia, but wouldn't name my kid that because it does sound very place-namey. (Same with Savannah.)
Miranda is one of my favorite names ever, but my husband does not like it, so it was never up for discussion when choosing names for our spawn.
We actually chose Eva, so if it's a girl, our kid will be an Eva. I agree with the poster who said that Ava is getting old. Eva isn't as popular, but has always been within the top 500 and is very classic. :)
Side note: When I worked at a pet store, we had tons of people whose dogs were named Stella (most notably a great dane and french bulldog). I could never name my kid that because of my personal mental connection.
