I don't live in the US so don't directly associate Georgia with the state, and quite like the name. I also like it spelled Jorja (yes, I know some of you dislike the spelling...)

I also like from the list:
Ava
Bella, though I prefer Isabella with Bella as a n
Eva
Francesca
Savannah
Stella, or Estella/Estelle with Stella as a nn

My name is Georgia and at work the stuffed up my badge and it was spelt 'Jorja' instead. People used to come in, look at the badge, look a bit confused and say "Yor-yah?". Ha. It used to crack me up so much. I have since told every work place that I prefer my name spelt "jorja' just to see people's reactions. I can say first hand that it's quite confusing for a lot of people.

Geneva, NE is where my parents currently live. No way I'd name a kid that. Otherwise, I like Miranda, Stella, Eva and Ava. But none of them I'd probably end up using- or at most, a middle name.

I highly doubt it. My parents just moved there in June, so I don't know much about the town. But it's in the middle of nowhere and has a population of 2237 (counting my family). While it would be cool if it had a connection to Switzerland...I don't think it's very likely.

I like Georgia, but the only names that are on both that list and my list are Miranda and Georgiana.
I like Geneva a lot too, but can't use it since it's the name of a LJ friend's daughter LOL. And I like Ava, but it's way too trendy for me to use.

Carolina is a state though..

I love Eva & Ava, but would choose Eva as it's not as popular; Ava is getting boring.

I've never like Georgia because of the state thing, but lately it's kind of growing on me. Georgiana is pretty though. The only other one I really care for on the list is Ava.

i also like:

cara
carolina
ava/eva
francesca (fluctuates between being our number one and number two girls name)
stella

geneva is my cousins name, she is in her late 20s

I love the name Georgia, but wouldn't name my kid that because it does sound very place-namey. (Same with Savannah.)
Miranda is one of my favorite names ever, but my husband does not like it, so it was never up for discussion when choosing names for our spawn.
We actually chose Eva, so if it's a girl, our kid will be an Eva. I agree with the poster who said that Ava is getting old. Eva isn't as popular, but has always been within the top 500 and is very classic. :)

Side note: When I worked at a pet store, we had tons of people whose dogs were named Stella (most notably a great dane and french bulldog). I could never name my kid that because of my personal mental connection.
