Opinions on names

Some names my husband has brought up...opinions? BTW, our last name is Murtha. (like the Senator...pronounced like "Martha" but with a "ur" istead or "ar")



Elijah Christopher (I like it)
Elijah Jacob (I don't like it)
Elijah Matthew (ehhh)
Elijah Christian (ehhh)
Elijah Michael (I think i like it, but i'm not sure!)
Elijah John (nope!)
Elijah Alexander (I gave him the "are you serious?!" face for this one)
Elijah Shawn (i don't really like it)
Elijah Sean (i really don't like it)

(As you can tell, we like Elijah!)

I love the name Elijah, I really like Elijah Christopher. I also like Thomas, Wyatt and Jacob. I think Elijah Thomas would be nice.

I really like Elijah Christopher...I like Jacob, but I don't like Elijah Jacob and I'm really stuck on Elijah! Elijah Thomas is nice

The only problem I have with Elijah is that then you have an "a" sound at the end of both names... Elijah Murtha... sounds sort of lyrical, I dunno. I always look out for patterns in names, common first or last letters or sounds, rhymes... that's just me though.

I like Aden (but would spell it "Aiden")... with, um... Elijah as the middle name, maybe? Aiden Elijah Murtha. Or Aiden Thomas Murtha.

not sure how i feel about Aiden Elijah but i'll bring it up to my husband.

:( I didn't think about the double "a" ending sounds...now i'll have to though!

Ehh...don't really like Elijah it's ok definatly not my favourite, why not Elijah Richard? that sounds cute. Or maybe...Daniel Elijah? that sounds really nice to me. Or...Thomas Aden? Those are my suggestions.

You do seem pretty stuck on Elijah!
I like it, it's unusual enough for him to be (most likely) the only Elijah in his class but thanks to Elijah Wood everyone knows how to spell & pronounce it.

Matthew- I have a great friend called Matt so I love it, but it is pretty common.
Michael- Hate it
John- Boooorrrrrriiiiiing, hate it. Johnathan with the nn Johnny is cute though
Alexander- LOL what's your problem with Alexander?! i think its a great middle name, pretty boring first name.
Jacob- Like it a lot, Love Jake
Richard- Absolutely HATE it
Thomas- Dislike it a lot for a first name, but as a middle name it goes with most things
Aden- "aiden" is better
Sean - Hate Sean/Shawn, i guess quite it will go up in popularity thanks to Britney
Wyatt (makes me think of Charmed too)
Bryson- ehhh
Jaydon - yep, it's the new made up name trend! I like Cadan though..

Elijah Christopher is nice, other than that, I don't think any of the mn's you listed go well. I don't really have any suggestions though, cause I'm not a huge fan of the name Elijah, lol.

Matthew - boring

Richard - boring, too old-fashioned
Thomas - boring, hate the nn Tom
Aden - hate

Just a couple suggestions, you seem to like the simpler names :)

I do like Caleb and Spencer, not a huge fan of Joshua or Nicholas, I like Isaac but its too biblical for our tastes. (I love biblical names, but dont' want to use them)
