[identity profile] kilobites.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
My SO and I have been talking recently and we are fairly decided on 2 names for any future sons we might have and 1 for any future daughter we might have (no kids right now, but we want them!). Our current names we want to use are Felix, James, and Claire (not combined, for three different kids). That said, we've been talking about other names, and I wanted to know what you all thought of them.

For boys:
Scott (my SO really likes this, I think it's growing on me)
Curtis (we'd consider it as an honorary name to someone important to us, but we're unsure about the sound)

For girls:
Eve (maybe better as a middle?)

Any thoughts, middle name suggestions, orders to scrap all of them? =)

I like all of the names except Eve and James would probably be better as a middle. I really like the name Claire.

I love Felix. I'm also very fond of James, and Claire is a classic.

Scott and Curtis don't go as well with your other names being so classic. I think they're best relegated to middle name placement if they were to be used in combination with the others.

I'm not really a huge fan of Eve, but it's nice enough. I would agree on the middle name idea for it, or suggest using it as a nickname for something longer.

I love Felix and James.
I find Claire to be rather bland and boring, it's very very popular here in the UK. I think it's a US riser too.

Eve is too short, but I adore Eva/Evie.

I LOVE Felix, James, and Claire. I think Eve fits in great with those.

However, I don't think Scott or Curtis does at all. Scott seems WAY dated to me -- it's very 80s/early 90s to me. I don't know any Scotts who are younger than twenty.

Other ideas:
Caroline
Lydia
Audrey
Camille

Oliver
Simon
Joel
Eliot

I love Eve, but I'm not very fond of all the other names; they're just not my style. They are fine names, though!

I like all of these names, except for Curtis. I never really liked that name. But I really like Felix, James and Claire, and I love Eve too.

I love Felix, James and Claire. Scott is really nice, too. Curtis is not bad but it's not one of my favorites either. I think it would work better as a mn. I like Eve but I love Eva.
