1. Jeen
Part of me also kind of wants to put the French "j" sound on it. Don't know why. *shrugs*

It's Jean (Jeen)... it's how my husband's mother spells her name.

It's the traditional french way for women to spell Jeanne, but Jean is the masculine spelling.

It's my middle name, too, and I pronounce it like jeen. My mom told me she mixed both my grandmothers' names (Jeannine and Jeanette).

I can't even begin to try and spell this out phonetically...but I pronounce it as the French "Jeanne." I went to HS with a girl that had that spelling and that's how she pronounced it. Plus, my area of LA is particularly French/Cajun.

Jeen, though I too know of a woman who prn. it like 'jee-nee', which I'll never get. Maybe with 'ie' on the end, even then it's a stretch. =/

None of the above ... I'd pronounce it the French way, so it's kind of like Jan, but the J is a Zh sound, like the second G in garage.

Same here. I should mention that I'm living in Europe, though.

Yeah, I live in Canada, near Quebec, so I definitely have the French influence from that. But I still think I would pronounce it that way, if that's how it was spelled.

Je-neen. But I am obviously wrong. I've never seen it any of those ways before.

My aunt pronounces it "jee-nee," and my boyfriend;s grandmother pronounced it "jean."

When I see it I'm inclined to say it "jee-nee."
