I thought of another boys name: James Fredrick. It would be in honor of my father, father-in-law, and grandfather-in-law. My hubby has two generations with the name James and F. as the middle initial. My dad's name is Fred. What do you think of the combination?

I think it's a good, strong name for a boy. I'm not too much a fan of Frederick but if it's after his grandad then that makes it ok! :)

i like it. i'm actually not a huge fan of each seperately, but i like them together a lot. sort of like marybeth. i don't like mary or beth, but together? cute. Fredrick has family ties with me, too. :D

It's nice but I think Fredrick James sounds better.

I really like it. I'm not a fan of Frederick either, but with James it sounds nice... but only as a middle name.

I have trouble pronouncing Fredrick so the name frustrates me, but paired with James I like it.

I love it! I prefer the spelling Frederick, though. I like your reasoning behind it, too.
