A friend of mine introduced me to a girl she goes to school with, named Asia. Not my style, I don't like it, but I don't think that it's completely awful.

Until I saw the way that her name is actually spelled: Aysia. I think that it's really bad, WDYT?

I like Asia, I have a cousin named this (except in Italy it's prn AH-z-yah), but spelled any differently it's atrocious.

Yes, spelt with a 'Y' is just terrible. I don't mind the name Asia. But I also recall a woman named 'Asia' being in the news for committing one of the most awful crimes I'd ever heard of so now the name just makes me feel really ill.

i've never been a big fan of place names--asia, china, brooklyn, dakota, etc. the only place names i really like are savannah and eden..if eden counts.

When I was young, I thought my friend was messing with me when she told me she had a friend named Asia. I mean really, what? Nowadays, I don't MIND it, but I just don't care for Asia as a name. Aysia is just hideous.

i do not like asia but im baised bc i went to school with a girl named asia who thought she was the shit...barbie, completely fake girl! but still, i do not like the name, but whatever :) but aysia...extra worse! lol
