I am 34 weeks pregnant and still without a name for our soon to be born little boy. My husband and I are very picky *lol*. I have come up with about 50 names he rejected and I have rejected about 20 names he thought of. I read EVERY entry in my baby name book for boy names (I think almost 5,000) and I didn't really like any. We have a son (from my first marraige) who is named Damian. The name I liked the most that was turned down is Atreyu. The name my husband liked the most was Adrien. We also all love Japeneese culture and Anime, but don't want a name that sound "too japaneese" if that makes any sense. I am really getting worried so any suggestions would be awesome. :) Even if you can just suggest a good website to look at. We want a unique name and that is about all we know for sure :)

I love Japanese name and I know you don't want anything too japanese but since you also like the Japanese Culture and Anime I found the following names I think you might like (or might not.)

Akira
Kenshin

and just to be lame: Goku, Piccolo, Dende or Teinshinhan.

Did he turn down Mr. Popo and Broli and Mr. Satan? (okay, okay, i'm just playing with you.)

How about Kenji? The nickname can be Kenny or Ken.

although Damian and Adrian are two VERY beautiful names IMO (among my favourites, too), they sound WAY too close together to be a sibling set. calling one name up the stairs for example... it never comes through totally clearly, some enunciation is lost, and you'd have both of them running down when you only needed one. :-P

You can pull "trey" out of Atreyu. Just don't call him that, put it on his birth certificate. Trey is a great name.

Atreyu = metal band?

I'm not a fan of Trey either - makes me think of a breakfast tray.
