WDYT of the name therese? i used to dislike it, but it's kind of growing on me. i doubt i'd ever use it, but i think it could be a nice middle name.

which spelling do you prefer? therese or terese?
have you heard it IRL a lot?

i think i prefer therese. i've actually only heard it once IRL. it was the name of a classmate who was ~18-21 years old. the other time i heard it was in a book, but that's been it.

ALSO: are there any tags in this community? maybe we should make some? if no one else wants to, i wouldn't mind doing it.

I'm rather undecided about the name Therese. If I liked it, I would spell it that way, but I don't find myself liking it. Or disliking it. So I'm not sure.

As for the tags, I think that would be a great idea, actually. I would love to be able to search for things that way.

I think normally you do, but some communities have open tagging where anyone can do it, so I'm not sure how this one would work. Maybe contact the mod?

I know a 5 year old girl named Therese. In her case it is pronounced ter-EHZ
how would you pronounce it?

ter-es-uh

That's the Norwegian pronounciation.
I grew up with a couple of Therese's.

Therese was the name I chose for my confirmation name. I like it best with the French pronunciation. I would spell it with the 'h'. Terese looks incomplete to me.

I've never heard the name before IRL. I don't like it at all, looking at it now.

I love it, pronounced 'Teh-rez', with a soft z.

Therese is my 2nd middle name. It was my grandmother's middle name. I like it spelled Therese, and I think it's very pretty.

My brother had a friend named Therese. She pronounced it Ter-EESE, and I've loved it ever since. I even suggested it to the hubby for a future daughter's middle name, as a tribute to his late Grandmother Theresa. He wasn't a fan, though.

I prefer it with the H.
