last weekend a girl I went to high school with had a baby girl:

Arsie Ann (I really have no idea how it's spelled, but sounds like Darcy without the D)

parents are Jeremy and Ashley.
apparently it was his grandmother's name and that's why, she hates the name though.

WDYT?

Arsie - adjective: having the qualities of an arse; I would have taken the train, but my arsie sister hogged the bathroom and made me late.

I think "arse." "Arsie is quite a pain in the arse." lol

And never, ever, would I EVER name my kid something I hated. I don't care who it was honoring/in tribute to! Poor kiddo. :/

That's an awful name... like "arse" with a "y". :/

That is pretty bad. As Brit slang, arsie = pissy, grumpy/bitchy, etc; which maybe fitting at times but hardly appealing or aspiration.
But ultmatly I cannot comprehend naming a kid something you don't like! lol

it reminded me of arse, too.
and then i started thinking of ass.
and then it went something like 'ass ann'
and then it really just didn't work very well.

... I tend to steer clear of names that contain the word arse let alone a name that actually is ars(i)e =S

not the best name...and if she hates it they definitely shouldnt have used it. understandable that they wanted to use it because its the grandmother's name but they could have used it as a middle name.

no good for her to hate her daughter's name :[
