[identity profile] platomapus.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
i have recently discovered a new name that i'm in love with. we already have a boy's name picked out but if we ended up having two boys instead of one boy and one girl i wanted to figure out a name. we've been thinking and thinking and my boyfriend doesnt necessarily love the name but i DO. i just cant think of a good middle name for it. i wanted to use my dad's name which is thomas but our last name will start with a T and i dont like two of the same letters back to back. so i'd like some nice suggestions. i dont like short or rhyming names and we're already using the name evans for our other boy's middle name so thats out of the question. i appreciate all of your suggestions and apologize if i dont reply to everyone!

and the name isssssss
connor

:] thxxxxx

Well I was going to say Connor James but I don't think that really fits your no short names thing. What about Connor Benjamin, Connor Nicholas, or Conner William? Those are just names that I think sound good with it, I do like Connor Thomas but I can understand not using it if your last name starts with a T.

Haha that's funny that I suggested those, then. Yeah, I wouldn't really use William unless it had a family meaning as it is rather generic. I do like Connor Harley, and I really like Connor Thomas, too bad it doesn't work!

I wouldn't spell it differently unless he does, because then it would lose the family meaning, and also I can't think of another good spelling of Harley. Now normally I don't like the name Harley but if it has family meaning I think it's good, because it does flow well with Connor.

Again, it's not a name I would normally like, and I think it may be a little short, but I think it flows well.

Well I also noticed that you said your other choice for a boy was Wiley Evans so if you named your kid Connor Riley and had another kid named Wiley Evans...Wiley and Riley rhyme a little too much.

I am super picky when it comes to names too.

What will the first twin's full name be, if you don't mind me asking? It just might help with suggestions with Connor...

I prefer the spelling Conor, but I love this name regardless of how it's spelled (so long as it's legit).

First thing that came to my mind is Connor William.
Connor Elijah
Connor Matthew
Connor Jackson
Connor Patrick
Connor Riley (not really my style, but I think it flows well)
Connor Owen
Connor Ryan

I have a Connor...it drives me batshit when people spell it Conner. Heh.

His middle name is Stephen...after his biomoms dad...So Connor Stephen. Incidentally...he has a twin...haha. I know the previous poster mentioned twins...funny.

Our last name begins with an S. It never mattered (to us at least) that his initials are CSS. Say the names you like outloud. They sound different in your head. See if it flows...

No, that's actually my daughter.
I WISH Connor was still that small...lol....it would be easier to chase after him.

This is Connor.

We couldn't agree on what to name the baby. She actually wasn't named for several days after her birth. We liked the name Gabriel for a boy, so we just named her Gabrielle. While I was pregnant I kept saying no to my partner when he suggested Gabrielle. After she was born, I finally said it outloud...her name...we knew her middle name was going to be Kathryn. So when I finally said Gabrielle Kathryn....it was perfect. Heh
