I was just thinking about people I went to school with and I just thought of one of my friends.

Her name is Altinaii. Pronounced Al-Tin-I.

She's Spanish, if you're wondering about her heritage.

Before I met her, I'd never heard that name before. And I still don't know anybody else with that name.

I didn't call her that though, I called her Alty for short.

Hmm. I can't really say if it's pretty or not, because I'm not used to seeing Spanish names and it probably sounds a lot nicer when I'm not saying it. I don't like the way that it looks though, I know that.

Do you know where she is from? Altinai is how it would be spelt if that´s how you pronounce it. The way I am reading it (and I have spanish as a first language and live in a spanish speaking country) is Al-ti-nah-ee-ee

I would say it as "All-tuh-nye-ee", I think the extra i is throwing it off. I don't like it. It sounds like it's a combo of alternate and deny. =/ Your nn for her though is good.

Hrm... a quick Google search reveals the name only coming up in New Zealand, no Spanish speaking countries.
