(no subject)

So my cousin just had twins, a boy and a girl, and their names are:

Emma Sage and Nathaniel Cash

I actually really like these names. Emma has always been a favorite and one I would consider using, and Nathaniel I have recently started liking for some reason. As for the middle names for some reason I don't think they are too bad, they are different but not like out of control or anything. Sage I am a little iffy about, but it doesn't sound that bad with Emma. I also liked how they did pretty normal names for the first name, but then went a little different with middle names. And as for any meanings of the name I just know they made the sons middle name because of Johnny Cash, they have always been huge fans of him.

What do you guys think of the names?

My son was going to be named John Cash, straight up, haha.
But now we've changed it to Jack.
And Sage was a choice too, haha!

The meanings of Sage are great: sage the color is nice; sage the herb is wonderfully fragrant; and the "wise one" sort of sage is the very best of all.

Yes, there are lots of people in the world called Bill, or Buck, or Penny who get on fine... But Cassius is unusual enough that when I hear Cash, my first thought is that the parents were thinking of their bank account.

I like Emma and Nathaniel but I am not too sure of the middle names.

I'm glad she put those middle names in the middle name spot. All together, they sound great, which I wasn't really expecting.

I really like how the names are not similar in any way! I hate it when people are tacky with sibling names. They are nice names too.

Yeah, matchy names are annoying.

I like everything but Emma.

agreed.
I hate Emma.

Enough with the Emma already! Sage is fabulous. Emma is just way too overdone.

Congrats to the family :)

Emma is a bit common for my taste, but otherwise a nice name (or it would be used so much, I guess).
Nathaniel is also very handsome.
The middle names rock!

LOVE Emma. It's one of my favorites (I love Emma Grace). Nathaniel isn't on my list or anything, but I think it's nice and sounds nice with Cash. I don't like Sage... but I don't think it's terrible or anything. Just not my style.

Cash, after Johnny, is my dog's name. I don't care for it as a human first name, but as a middle name it's nice. Emma is too popular for me to like, and sounds boring, or bookish. I can't say I care for Sage either, but as a middle name there's a lot more leway. I love Nathaniel... especuially with Cash as the middle.

Love them. I totally agree with the reasoning on the middle names, too. They're unique and kinda odd, but they sound nice with the normal first names :) I love the name Emma, I just hate that it's so popular. Not a huuuge fan of Nathaniel, but it's okay. I love Nate as a nn.
