[identity profile] avery-autumn.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So I've always wanted 5 kids, whether I give birth to them all or have 3 and maybe adopt 2... And I've been changing my mind about my favorite names, but right now i'm pretty set on these:
Wyatt (m)
Liya (f)
Avery (f)
Asher (m)
Clover (f)

As far as middle names go, I like Avery Piper and Asher Collin, but I can't seem to find ones I love for Wyatt, Liya and Clover. Any suggestions?? Not too unique or too trendy or too common please. Thank you!

Clover June
Clover Jade
Clover Isis
Clover Hazel
Clover Paige

Liya Valentine
Liya Audrey
Liya Sage
Liya Coral
Liya Daisy

Wyatt Liam
Wyatt Caspian
Wyatt Oliver
Wyatt Henry
Wyatt Cash

(Love Asher, Wyatt and Avery are alright, but Liya and Clover are way too out there for me.)

ETA: What about Lyra? I love this name, and it's easier to pronounce. I don't know if you're saying Liya like Leah or "LIE-uh."

Ahh, I was saying all those names with LIE-uh. I think people will assume it's spelled Leah, which could make it hard for her when she starts needing to write out her name. I would consider spelling it the most common way (Leah) or Lyra.

I don't really like Piper because it seems kind of trendy to me -- plus it's one of those names that seems too masculine for a girl but doesn't sound right on a boy, either, for me. I think the spelling of Liya is going to be a huge problem, though, so if you're set on the spelling instead of Leah, then I'd probably pick Piper over that.

I think Wyatt would make a good middle name (or first, I don't mind it either way). Gavin has bad personal associations for me, but there's nothing wrong with it. I do think Miles Asher sounds a little better than Asher Miles (also bad personal associations with Miles, but despite them I still like the name, so take that as a testimony to how much I like it, heh).

Asher is my favorite of your names, so I wouldn't change that one, personally!

Liya sounds like lie-uh to me. What about the spelling Lia? Then there's no confusion.

Wyatt makes me think 'wild west' and "why it?". I don't like Asher because to me it's like saying "ask her". With Clover, I can't help but think of grass, 'clovers', and clover leaf tuna. =/

And is Liya just a different spelling for Leah? If so, I prefer that spelling over Liya, because with Liya I want to say "lye-ya".

Avery makes me think of birds, and I don't like how it's 'a' and 'very' together.

So unfortunately I can't suggest middle names. I do hope you think more on the names though.

I like the name Clover a lot. I know a woman who recently just had a little girl named Clover. Very cute.

most adopted children I know, came with their own names...

I like Clover and Wyatt, but to me, Asher and Avery are extremely trendy.

Also, is Liya pronounced like the word Liar? Not a good association I don't think if it is!

Wyatt was a name I always disliked, but lately it hasn't seemed too bad. I think I've pretty much decided that it is a pretty decent name, just not my style.
Liya - I would be tempted to say Lye-uh. I would spell it Lia to get the other pronunciation.
Avery is more of a boys name to me. I think it is a strong yet soft sounding name. I guess the softness makes it fine for a girl though, if that's what you really want. I think it has been a bit popular in recent years.
Asher is a nice name.
Clover seems like a name for a kitten or something to me, and it wouldn't age well at all. I also think it's too different from the style of the other names. Sorry.

Avery Piper is not my style but sounds fine together.
Asher Collin doesn't sound very good, in my opinion. I think Collin Asher is much nicer.
I see you mentioned Gavin below. I love that name. I think Wyatt Gavin and Gavin Wyatt both sound pretty good. Miles Asher is a good, strong combo too.

Wyatt Clark
Wyatt Sean
Wyatt Asher
Liya Geneva
Liya Ginevra
Liya Genevieve (I apparently really love the "Gen" sound with Liya)
Liya Clover (sneak it in as a middle)
Avery as a boy:
Avery Asher
Avery William or William Avery
Avery Miles
Avery Thomas
Avery as a girl:
Avery Olivia
Avery Jane
Avery Sarah
Asher Michael
Asher Theodore or Theodore Asher
Ahher William
Clover...chillinbabejodi had a lot of good ones for this.
