I am taking a French language class. In my text (un livre ;)) there is a girl named Djamila</b. Elle est la Tunisienne. What do you think? :)

its pronounced "jamila" the "d" is silent. i have a lot of friends (okay, 2 and the mister's cousin ) named "Djamila". its arabic. i love it. if my cousin-in-law didn't already have the name, i'd use it

I think I have an aunt name Jamilah, without the D.

"Elle est la Tunisienne."

Drop the la. It's just "Elle est tunisienne." :) The name is pretty!

I knew a Jamil :) he was of Arabian descent.
I believe it's a version of Camilla.
