Names..as usual.(girls only)
Oct. 19th, 2008 09:19 pmAwhile back I made a huge list of girls names and a huge list of guys names that I liked. Today, precisely twenty minutes ago, I found the document saved on my computer , and started asking my fiancee about which names he liked. I stuck with girls since he was going to bed and was annoyed at my asking, but my name list has been condensed.... To a total of four names, three if you count that two are fairly similar.
Aubrey
Claire
Clara
Grace
So, seeing as I like Clara better than I like Claire and his favorite of all of the above is Aubrey, I figured I could either go with either of the names below:
Aubrey Grace
Clara Grace
Aubrey Claire
In ending, I'm asking you what you think, and if you know of any names that I can offer up to my fiancee that are similar to his tastes.
Thank you much.

Date: 2008-10-20 03:18 am (UTC)Grace is a traditional old fashioned name that's stood the test of time, and is mostly used as a middle name now, and it's fine.
I can't say I like Aubrey, nor Audrey, because to me it just sounds like someone saying 'awww' before the actual name.
I think Aubrey sounds like it would fall into the sophisticated category of names, so since your fiance likes it, I'm thinking sophisticated names are what he'd like.
Such as Claire, and also Elizabeth, Sophia, etc. I think you and he have a similar taste and so I would research those types of names, and suggest them to him.

Date: 2008-10-20 01:58 pm (UTC)If you don't like Audrey I wouldn't suggest you go with Aubrey because I think it will be confused with Audrey a lot.

Date: 2008-10-20 11:37 pm (UTC)I don't think Aubrey Grace flows very well. I'm not too sure why. I think it might be the two "r" sounds...or maybe the "br" and the "gr" since they're both harder/harsher sounds? I don't know. It gets choppy--Aw. Bree. Grace.

Date: 2008-10-21 07:32 am (UTC)Aubrey Grace--I think this one works very well!
Aubrey Claire--something about it sounds too harsh to me. Perhaps it's the contrast of the "ee" and "air" sounds.
