Hehe, the spelling Jayne on a girl weirds me out because I watch Firefly, and that's the name of a very manly, male, mercenary on the show. (see icon) :P

It's neat to look at names down the family line.

The styles may have changed, but none I can't say much for the taste. I don't like any of those names in the first group. Alexandra is pretty though.

Ooh, that's interesting! You can really see the different time periods reflected from those names =)

I like Diana & Alice, by the way. And I'm not very fond of Alexandra, but I do like the nickname Alex.

I had 5 living generations of women in my family for about 12 years before my great great grandma died. It was with my aunt and cousin though since it was my dad's side of the family.

Here's what I know of my mom's side.

Great Grandma: Eva Vivian
Grandma: Jeanette Mavis
Mom: Debra Lynn

Mine:
Great Grandma - Euphemia Isobel (called Bel)
Grandmother - Betty Isobel
Mother - Wendy Jane
Me - Jordan Jane.

I'm not the oldest so the 'me' part should really be my sister, Courtney Jane.
