Boys or Girls

Whether having babies, writing stories or just loving names, do you find yourself more drawn to girls' names or boys' names?

For me, it seems like I really love girls' names more. I have a long boys' list, but I have a much longer girls' list, and they seem more important to me. Like, there are many, many boys' names I would "settle for" - that is, names that, if my husband (non-existent as of yet) really wanted, I would say okay to, even though I'm not passionate about them. But girls' names, I'm really really really picky about and have what I like and what I don't. I just pay more attention to them in general. Boys' names seem less important to me.

boy names, hands down. :) there aren't many girl names i like, but there are plenty of boy names i enjoy!

I have all of my girl's names picked, but I really don't have any idea what I'll name my boys yet. I gravitate towards girl names.

I go through phases, but it seems to even out in the end. Never think of one being more important.

I settle on boys names for longer and find it easier to make combos. Once a name gets on my list it stays there for a long time, even if the ranking does shuffle a bit. Maybe don't look as hard for new ideas but then there's no real need.

Tend to put more effort into finding girl names, but I'm more fickle and fussy with them. Wouldn't be too disappointed if a certain one got vetoed because well there are plenty of others, probably would have gone of it myself soon anyway.

I'm more for boys names...
I just can't seem to find a lot of girls names that I like.

I just don't like girls names as much as boys. There's a few that I find nice, but none that I love.

I think I'm much the same as you. For boys' names, there are maybe a few that I like especially.. but it's more like - I like the majority of boys' names and would be happy if my husband wanted them - there are only a handful of names I specifically don't like. Whereas with girls' names it's the opposite - I tend to dislike most of them unless they are ones I specifically love. Like, I'm more fussy with girls' names, I would have to love it to use it..but with boys' names, they're mostly all ok.

Definitely girls names. I find a lot of boys names to be boring or trendy. I have a hard time finding ones that I absolutely love. Like you, there are a lot that I would "settle" for, but I don't see myself settling on a girls name because there are so many that I adore.

There seem to be more options for girl names. I find many boy names either too common or too out there for me to like.

I gravitate toward girl names. All the boy names i have loved for so long are becoming more popular and trendy and therefore i wont name a child that. I have girl names picked out and love them...my list is short but i love the names i have picked out

Girl's names! I can't find any boy's names that I would actually name Baby if it turns out to be a boy. Girl's names are so much easier for me.

My girl's list is longer but I can never quite settle on one favorite. The top 5-10 names really fluctuate a lot.

My boy's list is shorter but the top three names are names I've liked for years and am absolutely sure of.

I'm much pickier about what makes a good boy name. I think girls can carry off a lot wider variety of name.

Absolutely girls names...
I found it really hard to come up with a top 6 boys names, not because i love so many but because I don't like so many! It was hard to find a top 6 girls ebcause i love so many names!!
