Would you think it inappropriate for a Jewish child to be named any of these names:

Catherine "Cat"
Juliet
Laura
Ivy
Elizabeth "Lizzie"
Oliver
Miles
Colin

I know some of them have Christian connotations...but does that matter in today's society? I can't decide.

While I can see the Christian connotations, I don't think they're so obvious that they would be the first thing a person would think of. So I think they're all fine (and I actually like all of them).

A Jewish child named Mary might be more surprising, but even then I don't think you can call it *inappropriate*.
