If someone were to have a baby in the fall time and genuinely loved the name Autumn, would it be too cheesy to name the child that or is it not a big deal?

I don't think it's cheesy at all :)

But then I'm a bit biased because I really like the name Autumn.

I love the name, regardless of the season of birth.

I think it's nicer if an Autumn was born in the fall. I know someone who named her daughter Autumn and she was born in June. I've always thought that was weird.

Maybe I'm just a cheesy person but I think naming a child for a reason such as the season they were born in is just fine. *shrugs* I think it's more special when there is some sort of meaning or reason behind naming your child something.

I think it's nice to have that meaning behind the name, really.

I'm actually having the opposite issues lol. I love the name Autumn, but our baby is due in the Spring, so it feels 'wrong' to me to use that name since it doesnt 'fit', if that makes sense. I dont think its cheesy at all :)

i think it's perfectly fine. i DO think it's really cheesy if a girl named april was born in april though (and of course it goes for the other month names too)

I don't think it's cheesy. I think it would be weirder if you named your baby Autumn and he/she was born in the Spring. If you named your baby November, though, and your baby were born in November, I think that would be slightly cheesy.

It would kind of make it seem like that's why you chose the name. I don't know, I think it's kind of cheesy, but looking at the comments, I think that I'm the minority. I think I'm biased maybe, because my sister is an Autumn, and she wasn't born in the fall, so I see the situation differently.

Not at all! I'd name a kid that even without the fall birth. I love that name, my only problem with it is that it is so popular now.
