Baby name help!!

I'm pregnant and although I'm 2 months and still don't know what the sex is, I am freaking out about what the name should be if it's a girl. (I already have the boy's name set if it's male.)

Now, my first choice was Ava Savannah....but my last name begins with "S", so that would mean the initials would be A.S.S. I am not going to do that to my child. lol

I'm going to skip Ava completely... Too many of my friends have the name Ava set for their children and I want to be unique. "Eva" is a favorite as well...However I'd like to include Savannah in the name because that's where I got engaged, Savannah, Georgia. And if you think that's lame, lol, think about what GWEN STEFANI did to her newborn. "Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale." If she can do that, I can do Savannah.

I thought about Katie....Kendra, **Kaylie**, or Kaycie....no Kathryne...but Katie alone sounds so plain....

I know this is a tall order, but if anyone is bored and has any suggestions or NEW names please feel free to express some creativity because I sure lack it! My middle name is "Sue" and I almost want that name included, even if it means my child has 4 entire names in the title.

Thanks. :)

Melissa

I really like the name Katelyn, and Katie for short.

I thought of that too! Except as "Caitlin", because I'm Irish like that, haha.

Caitlin Savannah S
Cassandra Susan S
Christina Savannah S
Christina Susanna S
Kiersten Savannah S
Keira Sue S
Keira Savannah S
Savannah Sue S

Aww what's wrong with Katherine. =P

If you're stuck on the "Katie" sound, what about Cadence, nn Cady? You could also use Kate. I agree that Katie is not a given name (I go by Katie, but I'm a Katherine, if you couldn't tell from above ;)) I like Kendra (you could use Kiki as a nn), but Kaycie/Kaylie are terrible and won't age well. Your daughter will forever sound like a four-year-old girl if you name her that.

Eva and Ava are both nice (but popular, you're right), and I don't mind Savannah. I prefer Savanna because I know an amazing little girl named this. Yes, "ASS" is really, really bad; pleeeease do not do that to your daughter. =(

You could always consider Georgia, or Susanna(h) (Savannah + Sue). I would not do more than two middle names, and only that many if you must.

What about Eva as a nickname for Evangeline, Evelyn or Genevieve? Also, there's always Eve.

Some suggestions:

Susannah Cadence
Evelyn Kate
Kendra Genevieve
Eva Susan
Eve Susanne
Eve Georgia
Georgia Susanne
Georgia Kate

Names you might like:

Elise
Lillian
Amelia
Ivy
Audrey
Anna
Cora
Lucy
Sadie
Eleanor
Lydia
Adeline

Haha, yes, I'm a Katherine. I love my name, but I can understand not wanting to use names because of negative associations. That's killed a lot of my favorite names for me.

I'm glad you like my suggestions. Genevieve is one of my favorite names (I would probably use Evey as a nn).

I think the only problem with a few of your choices (Kaycie and Kaylee) is that they seem really young, and it's hard to picture them on adults. You could probably use them as nns if you really want to, though. (You could call Caitlin or Kayla "Kaylee," for example.) Good luck!

How about Savannah Eve or Savannah Kate? They flow better than the other way around, for me...

Kiersten Savannah Sue S
Keira Sue S
Keira Savannah Sue S

I don't know, maybe that's too many s's.

I really like Georgia..so I vote for this too. Georgia Kate is awesome and so is Georgia Susannah.

What about Kayla? It came to mind since you said you liked Kaylie and Ava.

I second the suggestion of Georgia! I can see your attachment to Savannah though, and I think it's nice when a name has such meaning behind it? =)

I agree that Katie is a little...nicknamey (or plain, as you put it), so how about other 'Kat' names like Katia or Katinka? Just Kate is nice too, I think. As for including Sue...how about Susannah, Suzanne or Suzette?

I wouldn't go with Kaycie, if I were you. It doesn't age well.

Other suggestions:
Stella
Eliza/Elyse
Lena
Audrey
Claire
Sophia
Madeline/Madeleine
Annika
Adeline
Cecily
Ayla
Anya
Dana

I like Katherine Savannah.

The whole concept, very 7th Heaven... or was it that Lucy's baby was conceived in Savannah... No, I think their honeymoon was there... I don't remember!

I like a pp's suggestion of Kiersten Savannah.

:)

what about susannah? that was my first thought. it kind of combines savannah and sue.

i like the idea of...

eva susannah
georgia susannah
katherine eva
kate susannah
susannah kate
susannah eve
etc
etc
etc

i like eva (and prefer it to ava), and kate/katherine/caitlin.

i dont like at all: kendra, kaylie, kaycie.

I also like the suggestion of Susannah, which is like a merging of Sue and Savannah.

How about Georgianna, which is like another merging. With Lily (which is what Susan/Susanna "Sue", means.

I don't think Georgia Susannah flows well, because they both end in an "uh" sound. I think Georgianna Lily, or just Georgia Lily, both sound better, but maybe that's just me.

Also:
Evangeline Savannah
Evangeline Susannah
Georgia Evangeline
Savannah Evangeline
Savannah Lily

And maybe:
Evangeline Savannah Lily "Last name"
Savannah Lily Katherine "Last name"

Savannah Sue
Savannah Suesan
Savannah Suesanna
Savannah Suesanne
Savannah Suezanna
Savannah Suezanne

i really like savannah, but i don't think it flows with ava whatsoever..plus, like you said, ava is SO popular these days. why not use savannah as the first name and make the middle name something similar to ava, like avalyn, avery, or eve?

other K names:
kate
kara
keira/kira/kyra
kelsey
kylie

I like just plain old Kate.
