Per an agreement, if I have a boy the middle name will be James, but I plan on ignoring the firt name, and calling the baby Jay. Do you think its essential to then put a Y in James? Jaymes? or is that stupid?
Hah, any suggestions? Do you think it matters if there is a Y in the name, if its going to be in the nickname? Im not sure Jay is a real common nickname for James.
Thanks !!

Date: 2006-04-03 06:24 pm (UTC)I like James as is, however if you want it to look 'trendy' or 'unique' that's when you'd add the J.
As others have said, it's quite common for anyone with a J-name to be nicknamed "Jay" - we have a girl in our youth group "Jaala" who goes by "Jay".
