Love the name Connor. My brother's name was supposed to be Connor Patrick Lynch, if my mom had her way about it. But Dad thought it was too Irish sounding, so now he's Christopher Brian Lynch. Much more generic and not as exciting, IMO. But a nice name nonetheless.
My fav. Irish names: Aislin Caoimhe Brennan Brigid (the Gaelic way of spelling it; also my Confirmation name) Roisin Kiernan Fiona Callum Sean
Saoirse = sear-shah Cliodna = basically like clean-ah :) I think it's generally spelled Cliodhna, but I'm friends with a Cliodna, so that's the spelling I'm used to.
I love Irish/Gaelic names! My dad's family is of Irish origin, so I'd give all my future children Gaelic names if I could. Unfortunately I would hesitate to use some of these simply because the spelling can cause some pronunciation difficulties in English.
Fiona (definitely using it!) Padraig/Patrick Sean Seamus Siobhan Maebh/Maeve Niamh/Neve Connor Kelly Murphy Noirin (my friend's mother's name) Kieran/Ciaran Aileen Ailis Catriona Colleen Deirdre Meara Carrick Brendan Conan Colin Kevin Liam Neil
I really like Brigid, but I've been told the actual proper pronunciation of it would be something like 'BREED', and I prefer just 'BRIJ-id', so I probably wouldn't use it for that reason.
Fionnuala, Clodagh, Neil, Sean and Brennan are my all-time favourite Irish names but there's probably plenty more I like. I seem to have a thing for them... And Fionnuala's one of my all-time favourites fullstop.

That's all I can think of, and I probably messed some of those up, but I'm sure if you ask those in the know will help. :)
