Hello everyone:) My name is Kelly and my husband and I are planning to start trying to conceive this summer. We pretty much have the names set:

Lilyana Kelyn Nickerson - I love Lily, but since it's so common lately I liked adding on to it and making it a bit more unique. Kelyn is a combo of my first and middle names, Kelly Lynn, and I've been using it as an online nickname for a while and have grown fond of it.

Ian Andrew Nickerson - We realize that the initials will be the same as the first name, lol kinda weird but the name has some meaning. My husband's father's name is John, Ian is a Scottish form of John, his family is Scottish, and Andrew because it is a tradition in his family to pass down their first names to the sons as middle names.

I'm welcome to suggestions though! Thanks:)

Thanks so much! I haven't found many people who use the spelling of Kelyn, I've only seen Kellen, and that's usually for a boy.

The meaning behind all the names is wonderful. I love when there's a history like that. =D Also, I love the spelling of Lilyana. That's so much better than Liliana. Love it!

My husband's name is Andrew too. :) I think we may pass on his first name as a middle name to one of our sons in the future.

It's a great name! What does your husband go by? Mine insists on being called Drew, he hates Andy, doesn't mind Andrew though.

It is...very strong. :) He goes by Andrew. He hates Andy. The only people that call him Drew are my grandmother becuase she doesn't know any better and the occasional person at work. He really doesn't like Drew either though, lol.

same here. if our baby is a boy his middle name will be andrew. his middle name is his dad's first name.... etc.

and he hates being called anything but Andrew. no andy, no drew, just Andrew.

AHhh!! That's too funny! I'm A HUGE TREKKIE! I remembered that when we came up with the combo and ran to my Star Trek encyclopedia and confirmed it! Gotta love it, it must have been in my subconcience! I also like the names Kira and William. I'm a big trek geek but I promise I won't name it Worf or Data!

My SO (called Andrew) is trying to persuade me about Ian for the same reason, John is a family name (his middle name) & his fathers side of the family are scottish. I'm afraid I absolutely hate the name Ian... so whatever he thinks, he isnt convincing me. But, I so appreciate the meaning behind traditions, so if you like it then it's good :-)

Oh, i forgot, Kelyn is okay, i like it pronounced Key-lyn, rather than Kel-lyn. I hate the name Helen & Kelyn sounds like Helen but not..lol.. if you knoww hat i mean.
