Favourite traditional names for girls?
Mar. 31st, 2006 06:57 pmI'm probably quite old fashioned when it comes to the kind of names I like. I dislike things that are too out there...anyway, here are my favourite traditional names for girls: (in no real order)
- Audrey
- Bethany (nn Beth)
- Catherine (nn Cathy)
- Charlotte (nn Lottie)
- Christine
- Elizabeth
- Emily
- Helen
- Jane
- Mary
- Margaret (nn Meg)
- Nancy
- Rebecca
I really like these names and luckily most of them could still be used today without the kid getting any grief over it. Anyone else like older names?

I can't say I'm personally fond of Audrey, but I like everything else on your list. I hadn't thought of Lottie as a nickname for Charlotte, but I like it!
