Tobias Cameron is the first that sounded in my mind.

I don't mind Tobias, it just struck a bit weird when I found out it's pronounced Toe-BY-as. In Italy we have Tobia, prn Toe-BEE-ah.

i love tobias, but i don't like toby at all. so personally i wouldn't use it because if people called my kid toby i'd get irritated, but i love tobias itself.

I like the way it's pronounced in Dutch (TOE-bee-ahs), but not in English. For some reason the 'bias' part bugs me. It's a good name though.

I love it, and I actually quite like Toby as a nn. I also had a neighbour called Toby, might've been short for Tobias, and when he was little everyone called him Bee. I thought that was quite - suited him perfectly!

This was going to be my comment. "Oh, Tobias, you blowhard!" I would never be able to take anyone called Tobias seriously (unless they were the world's second Analrapist, of course).

Tobias is number 3 of my top 3 name choices. I chose Joel for the middle name. And while I like the nn Toby, sadly, every time I hear it, I think "dogs name", so with the mn being Joel, I have the option of going with T.J. as a nick name.
