What fictional characters would you consider naming your kids after? The names can be from anything - TV shows, books, cartoons, video games, etc. I know that I personally get more attached to fictional characters than I do to musicians and actors who are just kind of out there in the stratosphere. Characters are easier for me to connect with, and because of that I tend to have a much longer list of character names that I like.

--Adelaide (There is a long story behind this, but basically there was a game I played growing up where there was a character that I *thought* was named Adelaide. Come to find out recently that her name was actually Adeleine. But I still associate Adelaide with her, so it counts in my mind. :D)

Okay, so I guess a lot of the time it isn't necessarily that I would name the kid AFTER the character; more that I would give my kid a name that reminds me of something I particularly enjoyed. I pick up names from outside sources a LOT.

With the exception of me having names on my list that I've used for my own characters, I wouldn't do this.

The only one I could make a case for is Andrea, nn Andi, after Andi from Reaper but I liked the name Andrea before I liked Reaper XD

The ones listed above, on the other hand, are tied pretty closely to the fandom in my mind, but they're still recognizable enough that I wouldn't necessarily have *had* to get them from there.
