I've known a Keira who was keer-uh, I've known a Kyra who was Kye-ruh. I've known a boy named Schuyler who was shoo-lir and I've seen the name Skylar as sky-lir.

Names are very objective.

No, they chose to pronounce his name that way, and fittingly. That's what the name is. They chose it, so it is.

It's not ignorance, it's a strong opinion. You can pronounce Zzyzx Amanda all you want.

You're not going to be naming my children, or my character or pets, or whomever I choose to name. You'll never even come in contact with them (hopefully). So get over it.
