No, don't like it at all.

I knew a guy who's name was Noble. He took a lot of crap for his name.

Just not a good idea.

imagine when he's in high school and takes a history/debate course, and they do mock trials.

Maybe I watch too much WB, but thats Logan's sisters name on Gilmore Girls.

Just a random thought. I caught a lot of hell over picking the middle name Ephram because it was the kids name on Everwood, even though, if I remember correctly, his is spelled different... of course, I dont watch the show, but my In-Laws do, and razzed me endlessly until I told them to stuff it. The kid isnt here yet, so we still have a chance to change it before he is. :)

I'd prefer Honora if at all.

[identity profile] ladyofmoonlight.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
I'm with you. I actually like Honora, if paired with the right last name.

[identity profile] composure.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
I went to high school with a girl named Honor. I like it.

[identity profile] xnaivetex.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 11:30 am (UTC)(link)
Usually I hate names like this, but Honor would sound kinda pretty if paired with the right middle/last name.

[identity profile] the-theorist.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
no, I really don't like it.

[identity profile] morphinae.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 11:45 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, no. Good trait, not so good name.

[identity profile] ourstreets.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 12:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Eeeeh, not so much. Though I work with a Legacy and actually like it...

[identity profile] cathkitten.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Love it.

[identity profile] trissyd.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Not so much... I love "Baylor" though.

[identity profile] littlehounddog.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I know a horrible woman named Honor so I despise the name.

I think it's just the most beautiful sounding word, but I don't know if it would really be alright to give a girl as her first name. And I don't like it for a boy at all.

[identity profile] sageharper.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a fan of virtue names so do kinda like it, would probably use as a mn. :)

[identity profile] jenniferdunn.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree w/ [livejournal.com profile] sageharper. I would like it even better as a middle name =)

[identity profile] mobilemum.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a lovely name

[identity profile] jadesymb.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
makes me think of the books by David Weber

[identity profile] ewaeva.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Weeeeell... I'm not a fan, but if you spell it HonoUr, then maybe it'd be acceptable.

(No matter how much time I spend on the internet I still can't get used to American spelling - color, neighbor, honor - it all just looks incomplete to me! :) )

[identity profile] feelslike-2day.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree...with the last part! Canadian spellings forever!

[identity profile] anapology.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
girl or boy? ehh, i dont like it for either.

[identity profile] knightanika.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't like it at all.

I missread it at first as Horror. Don't ask why I saw it as that.

[identity profile] vryposh.livejournal.com 2006-03-30 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
my last bf came from a family of six here they are in order:

Azure
Noble
Valor (my bf)
April
Honor
Merit

April of course is the most "normal" or popular...and my favorite was his name :) She wanted all of her kids to have 5-letter names and to have a specific meaning.

[identity profile] sherball.livejournal.com 2006-03-31 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
It's great to have.. just not as a name.

[identity profile] imyourrapunzel.livejournal.com 2006-04-01 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a nice thought, but I like Honora better.
