A friend's sister had a baby girl the other day: Anaka Ruby ((It might be Anika, but I'm pretty sure it's with an 'a')).

I like the way Anaka sounds, but I think it's better spelled with an 'i.'  I'm rather ambivalent about Ruby.

i dont like anaka/annika, its too harsh sounding, imo. but it certainly isnt the worst name ever. i ADORE ruby though, its my number one/number two girls name.

It is definitely better spelled with an I. That spelling is really awkward looking to me. I don't actually like the name though, how it sounds. I love Ruby though.

i like how anaka sounds, but prefer the spelling annika. anika is often pronounced uh-NEE-kuh, so..just a warning.
