What do you think about the name Ingrid? It's growing on me enough to consider it for a first name. Can't think of any nicknames for it though.

Also, how do you feel about using two middle names? I like so many girls names that I am thinking about it.

It's an interesting name.

For some reason I'm thinking that Grid would be an interesting nickname. Kinda edgy. Good for a teenager.

I love Ingrid. It's on my list. Pretty high up on it too. It has such a classy feel to it (in my opinion at least).

I enjoy two middle name; I certianly don't mind it. Any more than that is overkill unless you're Spanish, Italian, or Portugeuse. Or royal.

In Portugal you can only have one middle name, but you can have as many surnames as you like :)

I had a friend in elementary school named Ingrid. She went by "Ingy" but I guess depending on one's personality it's not going to work once they're older but it was cute back then.

I love using 2nd middle names for my characters. I'm not sure that I'd use them once I have kids but for now I'm all for them lol.

Not my taste. I know it's prn. "ING-rid" but whenever I read it/say it, I just think of words that start with 'in', mainly ingrate, ingrown, and that makes me dislike it.

Second middle names always seemed a bit much in my opinion, but it's not something I feel terribly strongly about. :p I say go for it.

Ingrid is lovely, and Inga would make a nice nickname. :)

Why does every freakin' name need to come with a nickname? Okay, sorry, but after seeing so many posts that are like, "I want to use this nickname, tell me a name" or "give me a nickname", I just don't get it, at all. Ingrid is nice; it reminds me of Ingrid Bergman. So, it does sound a little old, but it's nice.

I don't mind two middle names; if you have that many names that you want to use, go for it. Sometimes it can end up badly, if the names don't flow at all and just sound like three random names drawn out of a hat, so you have to think more about than just with one, I'd say. Anymore than two is a bit much. My sister has two middle names; I never thought anything of it.

I've always liked Ingrid too, but I'm like you, I can't really come up with any obvious nicknames for it.

I'm generally not a fan of two middle names, particularly when it's for the reason you mentioned. If it's honouring two people, like a father and grandfather or something, that's one thing, but otherwise I'm not fond of it.

I like Ingrid. Especially since discovering the music of Ingrid Michaelson a year ago.

I think two middle names is perfectly acceptable. My father, sister, and I all have two middle names, and I plan to carry on that tradition.

Ingrid was really popular here around the 70's.

I've got four names in total so I'm alright with it.
