Thanks to everyone that helped us pick names! We really appreciated all the comments and suggestions (please don't be offend if we did not take yours). We have decided on naming the twins Connor James and Cayden Asa Martin.

We also just found out yesterday that they are infact identical twin bothers! Wooo! YAY!

Thanks!! They keep moving it though. Last ultrasound they said August 10th, but these guys will probably be born well before their due date as most twins do. :-)

I think August is a great month - except being 6-9 months pregnant in this Arizona desert with twins is gunna SUCK.

How do you find out if they are identical? I didnt think you could find out till they were born...surely that involved dna testing?

Well, it's of course not 100% without DNA testing. But from an ultrasound you can pretty clearly see how they are separated (two amnions or one) and also by chorions (the outer layer of the sac that contains the fetus). My babies are in their own amnion (the inner membrane surrounding the sac of amniotic fluid), but are in one chorion "sac". If they were fraternal they would be in two of each. (Apparently, but again it is not 100% until birth)

i love the names! congrats! i bet your just so excited. how are you going to tell them apart? and are you going to dress them alike...sorry just wondering. :) congrats

Yes we are SOOOO excited! This is great! And I can't wait to meet them both! I have gotten many suggestions on how to tell them apart one being dress them differently (or in different colors), have them wear little bead bracelets, mark their diapers or bottom of their feet with a marker, etc... sometimes if they have a different birthmark you can use that. We will just have to see. I would feel awful if I got them mixed up, but no one would ever know b/c they will have the same DNA! :-) hehehehe! (My husband wants them dressed alike all the time while babies, I don't care either way. Some new outfits I have match, and some used stuff doesn't so it will be fun!)

I've heard of piercing ears with girls (with different colored earrings)
But I only know girls twins.. hmm.. it shouldn't be too tough until they start crawling and such (but by that time I'm sure you'll have a good indication of who's who, I mean you're the mum and all :)!)

That's ok. My husband said the same thing how Connor James is so "plain" and Cayden Asa is so trendy. Oh well, we like them and I think Cayden and Connor sound good together. :-)

Asa is the most beautiful name for a boy EVER! I love that name so much! It's my top favourite boys name of all! Yay for Asa! But I also like Conor James. Nice names, really! :-)

just to throw out another opinion, i really only like the spelling caden. it's a fairly trendy sound to this time, but the extra vowels are going to condemn him to this generation of names. yeah, yeah he's part of that generation, but... i dunno. heh. Connor and Caden. It looks nicer to me. :D cleaner.
