My SO and I have just got three puppys recently and are considering names for them.
I really want to use 'people' names.

Well the three puppies thing is a long story.

We both said we'd get a dog and we both went out and came home with puppies to suprise the other. You can imagine how surprised we both were when there was three puppies in the house. I got a border collie. and he couldn't decide which he wanted so came home with two male goldren retrievers.

I prefer to only use names for pets that are human names (or have been used on humans) that I wouldn't actually use on a human. I love these names for pets:
Cricket
Scout
Booker
Mordecai

My pets are (all cats but Lucy the dog):
Lucy Eleanor (I'm the only one who knows about the Eleanor addition though)
Willow Savannah "Willie" (the only one I actually named)
Lillias Jade "Lilli" (Willie's sister)

Kirby (he doesn't have a middle name yet, we just got him two weeks ago, his original name was George, so maybe we'll use that)

My pets are Kona and Keiser, both dogs, and Georgia Belle, a cat. Keiser means "king" in german (hubby's fam is german) and Kona is a blackish color, like coffee (and it's a type of coffee, so).

My cat's name is Liliuokalani. Generally, we call her kitty or cat-- sometimes lily when she's behaving, which is rare.

My cat is Lady Hawkeye. She was just Hawkeye, when she was a newborn kitten and we thought she was a boy. When I could see that she's a girl, I added the Lady. She answers to Lady, Hawk, Hawkeye, Kitty, Baby, Bitchcat, and the sound of food being opened.

Roommate's dog is Merry, as in Merriweather Brandybuck. I think that may actually be his registered name. He answers to both Merry and NO.

Charlie Cash [dog] ... named after my great grandfather, and Johnny because he's 'the dog in black' lol. It was around the time Walk The Line came out.

Sophocles Ringo-Starr [rabbit] aka 'Sophie the boy wonder' ... adopted as a rescue, and already named Sophie. So when it became apparently she was a he I found an equivalent male name. Ringo-Starr because rabbit is partial to stamping his foot repeatedly at length.

I like Lucas William Reid, Zachary Marcus Scott & Caitlin Sophia Nicole best.

I think middle names for pets are too much too, unless you go seriously overboard, like give them six imperial sounding names in a row, like some kind of aristocrat or king.

I've had a bird called Niles, a lamb called Lamby (creative I know), two mice (Minnie and Mickey - I was about 6 so they got the most obvious names), goldfish called Thom and Mignon (Thom ate Mignon) and a dog called Bella.

I like Caitlin, Zachary and Lucas, but am not sure about Aimee (why not just Amy? you never see that nowadays), Spencer (a lot of awful famous Spencers exist) and Kelsey.

I don't and won't actually use the middle names. I just felt the need to add them as I love the names and won't use them on any future children and thought "why not?".

I like Caitlin Sophie Nicole best...it has a nice ring to it and seems to go well with the other two names. Good luck with the puppies, two goldens and a border collie...my my, you have a lot on your hands.

My dogs:
Peabo Zues Max Seamus Duffy (there's five people in my family, so he has five names; one that we each wanted. He goes by Peabo only, the name I wanted for him. We got him when I was eight and obsessed with Aladdin, and Peabo Brison sings the theme from that, which is where the name comes from.)

Laser Tybalt (the dog pictured in my icon. He's my guide dog, so he came with the name Laser; it's what the people who payed $6000 of his training costs decided to call him. I gave him the middle name Tybalt because I read somewhere that it meant "he who sees" in Latin, and I thought there could be no more fitting a name for a guide dog.)

Yeah, I would have prefered to just have the one dog, considering Ashton is a month old tomorrow and Elle is two in November it's not exactly easy having three excited puppies barking and going to the toilet everywhere and looking after Elle AND bf Ashton. I couldn't ever give up a dog now though. They're all a part of the family. Even if Tucker & Finley weren't exactly planned. :)

Sparky, a part pomeranian, part pekinese (I was really young when I got him)
Ringo, a bunny (he had black rings around his eyes, hence, the name :P)
Snowball, a bunny
Tweety, a cockatiel (well, my cousin used to own her, and this is what he called her. We couldn't think of another name really .. so we left it haha. Original, no? :P)

Misty, a hamster << I got her last year, but she died a couple months ago :(

Our (well, technically he's my Pop Pop's dog) English Springer Spaniel is named Bentley!

both dogs and heidi the cat were named by my husband.
When I was pregnant with my son my kitty died at the vet getting spayed. I was devastated. Her name was Bijou. It means little jewel in French and that she was.
