I kind of like Maris. Similar to Paris without sounding as pretentious. I could also see it used by hard core baseball fans (Roger Maris)  without being too obvious.

Maris is cool. It's on my long list. There's a lot of other Mar- names I like better, so I probably wouldn't use it, but it's cool.
