So I've decided on my vampire's names... I've given them many middle names because... well, because I wanted to.  I want your opinions: should I shorten the names or leave them as they are?  I'm open to any suggestions.  I also included the meanings (they aren't meant to be symbolic... I was just curious).

Father: Alastair Sterling Wolf Aston Davis Tory Patrick James - defender of men/starling/wolf/noble stone/son of David/short form of Victor/noble

Mother: Charlotte Wendy Piper Alice Darcie Mariel Kate James - free/friend/flute player/of a noble kin/of the dark/sea of bitterness/pure

Son: Corbin William Russell Barrett Dalton Sully Oliver James - raven/strong-willed warrior/red/trader/from the valley town/from the south field/elf army

Son: Wesley Thorne Rowan Bram Dawson Ronald Nicholas James - from the west field/from the thorn bush/rowan tree/father of a multitude/son of Ralph/counsel rule/victory of the people

Daughter: Norah Scarlett Ruby Beryl Audrey Lorena Joanna James - honor/red/red gemstone/semi-precious stone/noble strength/laurel/God is gracious

Daughter: Lucy Rowena Penny Beatrix Edie Laurie Julianna James - light/fame joy/ with a web over her face/bringer of joy/rich war/laurel/downy

Son: Sawyer Pelham Todd Collin Benjamin Robert Raleigh James - woodcutter/from Peola’s village/fox/form of Colin/son of my right hand/bright fame/from the red field

Daughter: Willow Molly Olivia Annie Carolyn Lilly Jillian James - willow/ sea of bitterness/elf army/gracious, merciful/little womanly one/lily/youthful

it's your fiction, so do what you want, but six falls on the excessive side in my opinion.

ps- depending on how old they are, it would make sense for them to change their names a few times so people don't catch on that they're immortal. is that why so many names?

Why so many names? I mean six names? That's kind of a lot, unless they all have a particular reason...

Otherwise they're okay. Nothing about them screams Vampire! to me, but I'm not really sure if you're going for that or not.

I'd shorten them... there are so many names, that they just don't flow at all.

I agree that 6 names are way too many.
Even if they're of noble descent, I'd settle on 4.

Some of them are quite redundant, like Scarlett Ruby Beryl. Too many colors and gems.

I'm also not fond of many of them sounding like nicknames: Penny, Molly, Annie, Kate
