I would never have made the connection, although I like both Billy Joel and Phil Collins. It's the same way that nobody ever gets the reason I spell Elliott with two sets of double letters, and Conor with none. But if I were to use Elliott it would be after Elliott Smith, and Conor would be after Conor Oberst (I swear I am not always emo... but they were[Elliott]/are[Conor] brilliant songwriters).

I really don't think that they're too obvious. I didn't get it when I saw them, the first thing that jumped to my mind was Jon and Kate + 8. I thought that that's what was too obvious about it.
