John is a family name for us as well. It was my grandfather's name.

Out of my girl names, Hazel is my favorite, but all of my RL friends think it sounds too much like Axel Rose :-/

I had a friend in high school named named Michael John and to me for some reason it sounds like "My uncle John".

My husband's name is actually Dustin and his middle name is Lee. And he also has brother named Nathan.

I love the Lily Ann name, but 2 of my friends have dogs named Lily. That kinda ruined it for me, but I'm keeping the name on there.

I think I go for the Sean spelling rather than the Shawn spelling b/c of a guy I had a crush on in middle school. His name was spelled Sean. Plus, whenever I see Shawn spelled this way I think of that movie, Shawn of the Dead.

I understand. Shawn looks better to me and my sister had a friend who used to jokingly pronounce Sean "See-an".

It was actually spelled Shaun in Shaun of the Dead, but Shawn is closer than Sean.

I'm pretty indifferent about your girls names. The only two cents I have on them is, Lily Ann sounds like Lillian and would seem kinda cheesy in my book as a first name/middle name combo. And I like Lillian better than Lily Ann, for that matter.

I actually never thought of using the name Lillian. I knew in the back of my mind it sounded just like it, but until now I never thought about attaching Lillian to another middle name. Would you have any suggestions on a middle name for Lillian?

As for the boring, I'm really traditional. Plus my DH doesn't like names he can't spell (even Nathaniel and Gabriel will probably not make the cut b/c he can't spell them). I think I'll need to look in a book or something for name ideas to spice it up.

I really like the to you gave 9 to as well, but DH has said he doesn't like them b/c he can't spell them. I'm going to have to work on him...

I didn't even think about the two color names. My grandmother's name was Ella Rose, so that's where I got the name from. Definitely going to take the color matching into consideration.

Well, since I don't like Rose, Lily is one of my least favourite names, and I think that Marie is a completely overused middle name, all the girl names are out for me. Sorry!

You seem to like Marie (not sure if it has family significance), but Lilian Marie sounds nice. My cousin's name is Lilyan Faith, and I like the sound of that. Other ideas:

Marie is my middle name, but I'm not stuck on using it. Althought Lillian Marie does have a nice ring to it.

Lillian Grace sounds really nice too.

No, some people might not like Lilian Rose, but....it's your baby, right? So, as long as you and your SO like it, then that's a big factor in it.

The only ones I don't particularly like are Caitlin/Kaitlyn because they are so trendy and Seth Lee because it's so choppy. Seth sounds much better with a multi-syllable middle name. What about Seth Ryan, Seth David, Seth Michael, or Seth Patrick?

i love the name seth, but i know what you mean. it's just kind of eh. i love it, but not enough.

my best friend's five year old is seth nicholas, which i love. i do like seth david, too, though -- i'm drawn to that combo for some reason i think, haha.
