I've been thinking a lot about the name August, and it's really starting to grow on me. It's a fantastic boy's name IMO, but I think it might work on a girl too. I don't like Augusta, idk why, but...yeah.
So WDYT about August in general and August on a girl?

I knew a boy named August nn Auggie (he was little when he went by that, I don't know if he still went by it when he got older)

I kind of like boy names for girls. I could see August for a girl. I think if I met a girl August, I would get used to it fast.

I LOVE August on a girl. For awhile, I actually didn't realize that it was typically a boy name.

That being said, I do not like Augusta, Augustin, or Augustina.

For a girl.. hmm I'd confuse it with Autumn!

Seeing as August is a masculine name, it only belongs on a guy, IMO. And I love it. :D

I vaguely remember someone making a post about this a month or so ago. I don't know why, but I love August for both a boy and a girl. It makes me think of the character August (a female) in the book The Secret Life of Bees (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_Life_of_Bees).

I love the name Augustus, nickname August.
My good friend's niece is named Augustine, which I think is adorable, but I wouldn't use just August for a girl.

I like August. I don't think that I would ever use it, but it's nice. It is the only form of that name that I like. And it just sounds a little too masculine, to me, to like it on a girl. I don't know.

August is more commonly a girls name over here.
That being said I am getting used to it being a boys name as well and I think it works on both.
