Don't know why this name has suddenly occurred to me. I assume it's very popular and trendy, but I can't figure out if I'm right on that and I can't decide if it bothers me. I think I might quite like this name...

What do you guys think of Scott? And what sort of middle name would you pair it with?

I don't care for it. But my cousin's name is Scott, and his middle name is Stephen.

It has a bad personality connotation with me. For some reason I also think of butterscottch, which I think is icky. :D

i don't really like it, but i definitely wouldn't say it's popular or trendy. personally it reminds me of the toilet paper and i can't see it on a kid, like it just reminds me of one of those names where the name is old so you have to assume the kid is named after a relative or something.

one of my best friends' name is scott, i want to say his middle name is robert but i'm not positive. it's also my boyfriend's middle name, but his first name is joseph.

I don't think it's particuarly poipular or trendy, infact it's kind of dated.
I find it inoffensive, though bland.

I quite like it, I like short/one-syllable names for boys, I think they are strong sounding. I don't think it's very trendy/popular right now.

some middle names:

Scott Andrew
Scott Gabriel
Scott Gregory
Scott Vincent
Scott Jeremy
Scott Elliott
Scott Roland

Scott Gregory is my uncle's name. It works on him, but I don't care for the name on other people.

I like Scott, mostly because that's my brother's name. His middle name is Remington.

I don't think it's popular and trendy... I'd say it's pretty dated. I picture it more on a 35-year-old guy.

I like Scott quite a lot, but I wouldn't put it with a middle name that's too preppy.

Andrew, Patrick, and Asher all work...

I don't mind it at all, it's just a bit bland to me, like Matt or Alex. My head wants to pair it with Brian for the middle name for some reason.

so popular, which makes it kind of boring. the scotts i've known have been good-looking but... empty. maybe that's why i don't like it much.

I love it.
It's not popular and trendy now, but it was in the early 80's.
