My favourite name of the week seems to be Polly, after I dreamt my sister had a girl and named her that.

WDYT?

I love it, but I don't see myself naming my kid Polly. But it's very niece-worthy!

I used to know a Sara who went by Polly :)

I think it's fine as a nickname, for example for Penelope.

I can't really see it on anybody. Maybe a dog or something. I don't think it's cute at all.

It makes me think of Polly Pocket. :)

I don't see it as a fully name though.... It's always been a pet name to me--I mean an name of endearment, not for a pet.

It sounds like a name that would be popular in the 1960's-70's. Like Wendy.
I don't hate it, but it makes me think of "Polly want a cracker?" and that awful awful song by Nirvana.

It makes me think of the children's rhyme..
"Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick..."
(might just be an Aussie thing)

Sorry, just don't like it. I don't like the sound of it, I don't like how it looks and I'm not sure it passes the business card test - I can't see the first emale president being a Polly, if you know what I mean.
