Which girl name do you prefer - Juliet or Scarlet? Do you think either of them would sound OK in a sibset with Lennon Daniel? I need middle name suggestions for both. My last name is two syllables beginning with the letter T.

I much prefer Juliet. It's one of my favorite names, and I do think it sounds better with Lennon Daniel than Scarlet does. Some middles names...

Thanks! I much prefer Juliet too, it's my number one girl name. My husband thinks people will shorten it to Julie though, so he'd rather use Scarlet. Of course, we're not expecting so this is all for a hypothetical child. :P

With the amount of hypothetical children my SO and I have, we could probably start a soccer team. People may shorten it to Julie, but if you always call her Juliet and that's what she calls herself, I really think that it would stay as Juliet. It's such a beautiful name, one of my number one favorites. My SO and I are looking at Juliet Claire or Juliet Amelia for one of our hypothetical children.

I think Juliet Claire is beautiful! My husband would probably hate it though; he seems to hate every name that I like. I wanted Juliet Eleanor but he laughed in my face when I said Eleanor. It's a miracle we ever agreed on our son's name!

For what it's worth, though, your son has a lovely name. Lennon Daniel is superb. I've always been too nervous to bring Lennon up because I think my SO will dislike it, but I love that name. I just don't know if I'd be brave enough to use it.

Juliet because Scarlet has that very unattractive Scar sound. Go for Charlotte, if you love the sound. But Juliet wins in my book.

I know so many Juliets, and none are Julie. I have a name similar to a Lily being called Lil, and with a polite, "No, I prefer Lily," it fixes the situation. All nicknames are avoidable.

Juliet, definitely. I think it'd be fine as a sister to Lennon, but I'm not so sure about a last name that starts with T. I'd say it aloud multiple times and make sure it doesn't run together too much.

I know, that is my only reservation about using either of those names. My favorite girl's names ALWAYS seem to end in a T, and of course I had to go and marry a guy with a T last name! :P

I love Juliet so much that I would use it anyway. I'd just have to make sure to have a tiny pause in between the two names when speaking.

Juliet. Scarlet reminds me of The Scarlet Letter.

I think Juliet would sound great with a middle name beginning with L, I or E.

Juliet. I know a Juliet who goes by Jules, I think it's cute. But Juliet itself is a beautiful name, I love it. I think it sounds better as a sibset with Lennon than Scarlet does- I don't dislike Scarlet, but I like Juliet much better.

I prefer Juliet, but Scarlet is nice too. Lennon Daniel...that's so pretty! I'd say either name goes well with that one. As for middle names...

I prefer Juliet over Scarlet, for the simple fact that Juliet will last longer on the trendy-classic scale than Scarlet will. They both sound great with Lennon, IMO. :)

I love them both! Tough call. With Lennon, I think Scarlet might work a little better. "Juliet and Lennon" makes me think of Julia Lennon. Which isn't a bad thing, or something they'd be teased about a lot. Just saying.

I agree that Name-Ending-in-T is bad with a surname that begins with a T.

I like both names but prefer Juliet. Although Scarlet might go better with Lennon...

I really dislike when the first name ends with the same sound as the last name begings. It makes the whole name just run together and sound silly.
My last name starts with S, and my husband and I wanted to use the name Grace (his grandmother's name), but wound up vetoing it because the full name sounded like Gray S____.

those were two out of the four names I had chosen for my baby if it were to be a girl! Angelina, Scarlet, Charlotte or Juliet. BEAUTIFUL, i think.
