Enchantris? Eternity? CHARDAY?!? Good gawd.
I'm sure the question has been asked many times, but can someone clue me in as to why so many people are choosing creative spellings that will guarantee their child a lifetime of saying, "Not C-H-R-I-S, it's K-H-R-Y-S"? Some of them are downright nonsensical, like the little girl in my class named Mackla--pronounced Mah-kay-lah.
I really don't get it...and quite honestly, when kids in my class bear those silly spellings, I tend to think that their parents are a little dim until they prove themselves otherwise.
